Wow, it’s already been six weeks of our GROW sermon series! This week we looked at the things in our lives that will not produce good growth, the things that instead can choke us like weeds, shadow us from the sunshine, or harden the earth around us. These false gods might even be good things in our life. An idol is anything that becomes more important than God. This week, Pastor Steve looked at the idols in our life. He encourages us to carefully survey our soil and name the counterfeit gods that keep us from experiencing satisfaction in Christ. Naming our idols is an integral step in our spiritual growth.
