Welcome to Children's Ministry!!
Children's Ministry exist to make CRBC an exciting place for kids to learn about Jesus Christ, be out of harm's way, learn the bible, pray openly, and bring their friends.
We have three major ways for you to connect into children's ministry at CRBC.
Sunday Morning Program: Rooted Kids (for kids ages 0-12)
The Seedlings: Ages 0-2.5 The Seedlings group is located on the south side of the building just off the main lobby (sometimes called the foyer). It is open 10 minutes before the service for you to drop off your 0-2.5 year old anytime. It's a 'come in when you need it' program.
All students Rooted Kids over the age of 2.5 are dismissed from the adult service at the same time to the children's program at approximilty 10:20 every week.
The Saplings: Ages 2.5-Kindergarten.In the Sapling group, the children will start off by singing song all together. The 2.5-3 year old will go and play, while the 4's-Kinders will hear a Bible story from one of our amazing story tellers. After the 4-Kinders have heard the story they will go and play, make a craft or play a game. The 2-3 year old will then get their chance to hear the story too. Most weeks we serve a small snack of fishy crackers.
Cedars: Grade 1-2 The Cedars are located on the main level of the church. They begin their time by hearing a story from the Bible with one of our amazing storytellers. After the story, they have a time to respond to what they have learned through games and crafts. We end our time all together with the Mighty Oaks in the Chapel singing. That's where you can find us for pick up.
Mighty Oaks: Grades 3- 5. Mighty Oaks are located on the main level of the church. They begin their time by hearing a story from the Bible with one of our amazing storytellers. After the story, they have a time to respond to what they have learned through games and crafts. We end our time all together with the Cedars in the Chapel singing. That's where you can find us for pick up.
The Bridge: Grades 6-8 The Bridge is a new program we are starting in mid-fall 2018. The vision for The Bridge is to help bridge the gap between childhood and adolescence. The Bridge will run at the same time as all our progams on Sunday morning. Personal Spiritual Growth and Leadership Development are the two main goals of the Bridge. Those who attend The Bridge will learn skills that they will begin to use in volunteering in children's ministry throughout the year.
Midweek Program (Wed from 6-8pm): PowerHouse for Kidz (For kids in Kinder-Grade 6)
In 2013 we created a program that we call PowerHouse for Kidz (PowerHouse or PH for short). Our tag phrase that sits in line with our vision for this program is 'equipping kids for life'. Wanting to be more than just another program for kids, we wanted to develop a space and environment where children could learn more about who God is and what He is like while gaining some valuable life skills (such as finances, cooking, survival skills, how to fix broken things ...etc). It is a living breathing program and changes a bit every year as we use the gifts and availability of the people who are willing to serve as volunteers at PowerHouse.
Summer: Island Adventure Camp (similar to a VBS - run in the evenings from 6pm-8pm)
Island Adventure Camp (or IAC for short) is week long camp where we sing songs, do crafts, play games, hear stories and most importantly learn more about who God is and what He is like and how we can respond to Him. A unique component of our summer camp is that we serve supper to the children and families each night. This gives us a chance to get to know families and as well as bless them with not having to prepare a meal each day for a week.
