Kick Off Sunday is Coming Soon!

Campbell River Baptist Church
CRBC Newsletter (Sept 7th, 2025)
Encounter - Prepare the Way

Encounter - Prepare the Way

What happens when you really encounter Jesus?

This Sunday at CRBC, we kick off a new series called “Encounter” and we’ll see how John the Baptist prepared people to meet the Messiah. His message wasn’t polished or comfortable. It was urgent: “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near.” Repentance isn’t about shame. It’s about clearing the way for God to do something new in your life. We’ll discover why Jesus stepped into the waters of baptism, what it means for us today, and how encountering Him changes our direction forever.
Join us Sunday as we prepare the way for the King, because when you truly meet Jesus, you cannot stay the same.

Please pray for Pastor Steve and the team as they prepare for our service.

Kick-Off Sunday

Kick-Off Sunday

September 14th

We are having a huge party to "Kick-Off" the Ministry Year! Following our regular Sunday Service, there will be free lunch, games, a bouncy castle, prizes, and much more.

For the picnic:

1) Bring a lawn chair, or a fuzzy blanket.

2) If you are interested in volunteering, we still need at least 6 more (strong) people for tear down and clean up, plus a few others for miscellaneous roles, check with Lyann in the foyer for more info.

3) There are also food tickets available on Sunday to contribute to the meal, check with Fran and Ed at the table in the foyer for more info.

4) Invite your friends and neighbours! One of our church values is being "Invitational." Loneliness is one of the great epidemics of our time. Would you be willing to pray about who you should invite? Once someone comes to mind, step out boldly in faith and go for it. No matter how people respond, when we ask our neighbours and coworkers to come, let's trust they will feel loved and welcome.

Yes, we need an Anvil

Yes, we need an Anvil

Brian Miller and the Sr. High Leadership Team are, as usual, in search of an anvil they could borrow for two months. Yes, an anvil, like for forging metallurgy in smoke and steam under the blow of a hammer stroke.

Typical youth pastors, eh?

Please email brian@crbaptist.bc.ca if you have any leads.
