This Thanksgiving Sunday, we will be exploring the next message in our “Encounter” series. Pastor Josh will unpack the story of the rich young ruler in Mark 10, a man who came running to Jesus, full of respect and moral devotion, yet walked away sorrowful because he couldn’t let go of what held his heart.

His story reminds us that “almost” isn’t enough; following Jesus calls for wholehearted trust and surrender. It’s a message of both challenge and hope: Jesus lovingly confronts what keeps us from Him and offers life that’s impossible to earn but fully possible through God’s grace.

Pumpkin Fest is BACK October 28th! We have a corn maze, petting zoo, a jumping pillow, and lots of other fun stuff that students have loved being a part of. Come join us with youth from all over Courtenay, Black Creek, and Campbell River!

Here are some details:

There are only 60 seats on the bus! Registration will be available at Youth on Tuesday/Thursday as this is a combined youth event. Please bring cash to sign up and secure your seat on the bus!

Cost: $12/student. This fee includes admission, a hot drink, popcorn, and a hot dog (and a lot of fun).

Date: Tuesday, October 28th from 5:45pm - 9:00pm. We will meet at the CRBC parking lot at 5:45pm, and return at 9:00pm.

Camp Homewood has a wonderful men's retreat scheduled for this year. Dayle Medgett will be speaking! Gather with other men from all over Vancouver Island and the Lower Mainland to enjoy a weekend full of of activities and sessions with a guest speaker. Savour meals prepared in our newly renovated kitchen, and enjoy the 200+ acres of the great outdoors we get to call home at Camp Homewood.

The waterfront setting at Homewood is perfect for both quiet reflection and active adventure.  Come on your own and meet some new friends, or bring a group for a fun weekend away together. Activities will include ax throwing, archery, canoeing, horseback riding, pontoon boat harbour tours, and more!
