It’s official! We will be doing our 5-month Hockey DTS this upcoming September. So far there are two players registered - one from Sweden and one from USA. We will partner with YWAM Vancouver, once again, for the lecture phase and then take our team to Russia for the 2-month Aield assignment. Even though we will do the HDTS with two students, we are still praying for more students.

HOCKEY CLINICS

Overseas: Glen has been invited to NE China and Eastern Russia to run our newly designed clinic. As you may recall, when Glen was in China last fall he was asked to develop a more in-depth hockey clinic. There seems to be a real appetite for this more in-depth clinic.

Canada: We have been invited to do a 4-day mini-camp in Homer, Alaska and a couple of weekend clinics in northern BC this fall. Glen has been developing clinics for small communities, including First Nations communities.

We’re moving. After 11 years our landlord gave us notice that he needs our place for his family and thus we will be moving out June 30th. We had come to love this place and our neighbourhood but trust our Lord will have a perfect place for us for September 1. We hope to Aind a place in Richmond, closer to where Lorrain will be teaching again in the fall. We have begun packing up and will put our belongings in storage for July and August, freeing up our rent dollars for the Greece Outreach Project. We are looking forward to our time in Greece and visiting family when we return.

Tragedy in the YWAM Hockey community: We received word in April that a student from our 2010 Calgary summer hockey camp was killed in a car crash. This young gal was about 11 or 12 years old when she attended our camp. The main focus of our Hockey Summer of Service staff was to develop relationships with the campers. An outstanding staff member, Debs, from Washington, DC, built a lasting relationship with this young camper.

After attending her celebration of life , Art, the co-director from the Calgary camp, sent the following facebook message (with a picture) to to Debs and Glen…

“Hey Debs, I know you wish you could be here. Notice Tova's hockey stick still has the tape on the shaft from the YWAM Hockey Camp. Her dad pointed it out to me. That camp was a big inFluence on her life. Thanks, Glen for being obedient to The Lord and partnering with us in bringing the camp here. I know only eternity will reveal all of it's effects on the kids lives! Keep loving people the way you do. Love and appreciate you both”.

Thank you for your continued interest in our ministry. We so appreciate your prayers, encouragement and financial partnership. We would love to hear from you; tell us what you are up to and how we can pray for you. We pray our Lord will richly bless you.

With love, Glen and Lorrain
