CRBC Sunday Service

June 13, 2021

Welcome

On behalf of the Staff, and Board at Campbell River Baptist Church, we would like to welcome you and thank you for connecting with us today.

If you know someone who is not receiving our weekly newsletters and would like to, please encourage them to do so by calling into the office (250) 287-8831 or go directly to the website.

We are so thankful that you have continued to be the Church in so many ways each and every week!! We are the Church. Our worship of God is not confined by the walls of our building. We cannot give up gathering (Hebrews 10:23-25a), we cannot stop loving, we cannot stop giving, we cannot stop growing.

We have an opportunity to serve our faith community here in Campbell River and we want to provide you and your family with resources to stay connected to God’s word and to each other during this time.

Please use this Order of Service as a springboard to start your time of worship this morning.

God Bless

Sermon

Title:  Habakkuk- The Whole Picture

Key Passage: Habakkuk

"How often do we get stuck looking at our circumstances and forget that there is a bigger picture going on around us than what we can see?  Habakkuk was living in a time when his home had been invaded and everything around him was in ruins.  When he looked around, he could not see God in his circumstances and did not feel like God was listening.  “The world’s a mess and you’re doing nothing about it.”  Habakkuk cries out to God.  God responds with “I am doing something - But you wouldn’t believe it if someone told you about it.”  The book of Habakkuk reminds us of a really important tool that we need to keep on hand when sorting out our view of God.  We need to lean back so that we can get a whole picture of what is true about God as we live in our present circumstances and look forward with hope."

Activity:

Building things together:

In today’s story we are learning about obedience.  As a fun way to practice this find some blocks to play with.  They can be lego blocks or wooden blocks, any blocks will do.  Have someone in your family give you instructions on what to build.  Practice following instructions as you build.  Then switch who is the one building and who is the one giving the instructions.

Preschool Songs:

Below is a playlist with a bunch of songs that we have done for you to listen to if you wish.
