What Does it Say?  V2-6  Judah had Perez and Zerah; their mother was Tamar.  The mother of Boaz was Rehab.  Boaz  and Ruth had Obed.  Obed had Jesse and Jesse is the father of King David and on down the line of Jesus.

What Does it Mean?  This passage talks about the lineage of Jesus.  God used imperfect people to form the ancestry of Jesus.  Judah - threw his brother into a well, Tamar - dressed up as a prostitute and seduced her father in law, Rahab - a prostitute in Jerico, David - had an affair with a married woman and had her husband killed to cover up.  We may look at our lives and think we are not good enough for whatever reason to be used by God.  Not true!!!!  God uses imperfect people to serve in his kingdom.  God created you, he knows your strengths and your weaknesses.  He has given you a personality and skill set and he wants to bless others through you.  If you have a relationship with Jesus and you are available, he will use you.  If you don't know Jesus personally and you would like to, talk to a Christian you know or call June at 250-895-1527.
