We are heading into a rainy season now so our water problems are improving. However, because it’s been so dry the dams are really low which is causing a power shortage for the country. The country is now doing rolling “black outs”. This past week we have been without power several times. Living without power isn’t too bad except that we need power for internet (Kendra relies heavily on internet for her school) and power is the main way we filter our water and are able to have a warm shower!

We have been encouraged recently with several visitors from Canada. We received many treats from “home” and although we are able to live without them they are a huge blessing to us, especially for the kids. Thank you to everyone who was a part of blessing us in this way. We have good days and we have bad days but there is no other place we would rather be than in a place where we are completely dependent on God for everything, everyday! As we choose to serve the LORD in anyway He chooses, anywhere He chooses, we are so glad that..."The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and His understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak...Those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not be faint." (Isaiah 40:28b-29, 31)

It is only by the power of the LORD that we are able to do this! Dewar Family Update Be joyful always... April 2016 We have good days and we have bad day... We are truly blessed to have such a wonderful team standing behind us "holding the ropes" for us so we can serve our LORD here in Colombia. We love you!

How can you pray for us...

 Our continued health - we have been so blessed with good health so far, please pray that will continue

 Our relationships with the other staff members here - as we join the existing team here, please pray that we will be able to build strong relationships, that the team will have unity and love for each other and that we will figure out our roles here

 Debbie's language study - that it will continue to advance and she will be able to communicate well with the people here.

 Ken, as he disciples students and leads the men’s group. And as he prepares to teach this semester.
