Welcome

On behalf of the Staff, and Board at Campbell River Baptist Church, we would like to welcome you and thank you for connecting with us today.

We are so thankful that you have continued to be the Church in so many ways each and every week!! We are the Church. Our worship of God is not confined by the walls of our building. We cannot give up gathering (Hebrews 10:23-25a), we cannot stop loving, we cannot stop giving, we cannot stop growing.

We have an opportunity to serve our faith community here in Campbell River and we want to provide you and your family with resources to stay connected to God’s word and to each other during this time. 

Please use this Order of Service as a springboard to start your time of worship this morning.

Title: Blessed with a desire to worship

Our consumer culture programs us to think that worship is “all about us.” A great “worship experience” is often defined as one that people find convenient and entertaining. However, the Bible teaches that true worship is not about us; it’s about God. It’s all about praising him, celebrating his love, and renewing our relationship with him. God is the audience and is the one who should “get something out of it” (our adoration), and he is the one whom our worship should please. Join us Sunday as we look at being blessed with a desire to worship

Children’s Ministry

Below is a list of children’s resources that you can use to lead your family or small group gathering.  

Activity:

Secret Heart Messages  

Materials: 

  • 1 Piece of paper 
  • Crayons (White is best as it ‘hides’ your art until you paint it) 
  • Watercolour paint OR a little bit of food colouring, mixed with water 
  • Paintbrush

We can’t see what is in our hearts from the outside.  But there is a secret about our hearts. What is in our hearts will show up in our actions, in what we do. We can grow good fruit (the fruit of the spirit) by asking Jesus to help us grow good fruit in our hearts. And then our actions will show the good fruit that has grown in our hearts.  

What do do:

  • Draw a picture with the white (or any colour) crayon.
  • Use watercolour paint or food colouring mixed with water to reveal what is drawn on your paper.
