Dear CRBC Family,
I am reaching out today to update you on what has been happening at CRBC over the last 2 weeks.
General Ministry Info:
As you now know, all in person CRBC services and activities have been suspended. Our staff have been relegated to mostly working from home and working with precaution if in the building. They have done an exemplary job of preparing online content in order for us to participate together as a church family on Sunday mornings.
Our staff have been working diligently and thoughtfully, regularly meeting through online Zoom meetings and other online mediums.
Our Youth and Young Adult Teams have been preparing online content for mid-week ministry. The Seniors Ministry team has been working on ways to stay connected. Children’s ministry is providing age appropriate online content for Rooted Kids to supplement the Sunday morning service content.
Visitation is getting more difficult, but we are using telephone and other online strategies to make sure we continue to support those in need.
Radiant Life handed out bagged lunches Sunday afternoon and is coordinating with its partners to continue to supply meals in line with VIHA recommended essential service, at this time this is the plan. Clearly our ability for operating ministry programs as we are used to is not possible. Please join in and participate with us as we continue to be creatively connected.
Pastor David Lee will be providing our Sermons via video for the next number of weeks. He is also meeting with our staff via Zoom, online, to provide encouragement and advice and to walk with them through a spiritual care devotional on Philosophy of Ministry. He will also be available through technology to our staff for any needs they may have.
Pastor Lee will also be advising and helping our leadership team when we are able to continue our Lead Pastor search process. Obviously our way forward is hindered by the current realities of the Covid-19 crisis. I will communicate more info as it becomes available.
Call the office at 250-287-8831 If you need help with online content or any concerns you may have. Voicemail accounts and call forwarding contingencies are in place.
Take the time to explore our website. The information is there! Access and join our social media accounts. Stay connected!
Hebrews 10: 23-25
23Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise. 24 Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. 25 And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.
Thank you Lord that you have provided the means by which we can continue to stay connected to our church family!
