What do you need to be okay?

This Sunday, we are continuing our Gospel Partners sermon series in Galatians 4:21-31, and we will be talking about “what do you need to be okay?” Is it control? Is it something or someone? How does our need for control impact our relationship with God? Paul urges us to reflect on what aspects of our lives we attempt to control. He contrasts two ways we can live: by the flesh, or by God’s promise, which is the way of the Spirit. The way of the flesh tries to take matters into our own hands. The way of the Spirit births something new despite our missteps. Ultimately, the Spirit of God helps us surrender control by trusting God with the outcome. We can find true freedom by resting in God’s sovereignty. So once again: what do you need to be okay?
