Quick to Listen, Slow to Speak

Every relationship takes work. We will not coast into good relationships.This is true in our relationships with people and it is also true of our relationship with God. In every good relationship both individuals actively listen to the heart of the other. It would be safe to say that everyone longs to be heard. The irony is that if everyone is working so hard at being heard there will be nobody on the other side of the conversation listening. Listening does not come naturally for most of us.
