What if the problem with the church isn’t that it is organized, but that we sometimes organize it around the wrong things? We live in a culture that values independence, flexibility, and the freedom to come and go, yet Jesus calls us into something deeper, a people who gather, belong, serve, and care for one another. Why did Jesus create the church as a community instead of leaving Christianity as something private between us and God? And is church membership really biblical, or is it just another human institution we have created?
In this message, we’ll explore what the New Testament actually says about the church, organization, and belonging. Because when Jesus says, “I will build my church,” there may be far more at stake than simply showing up on Sunday.
