Last week in Hebrews 11, we stood in the “Hall of Faith,” a gallery of men and women who, though ordinary, lived believing lives in an extraordinary God. Abel, Noah, Abraham, Sarah, Moses, Rahab… their testimonies are not just stories of the past; they are mile markers on our race, reminding us that God is faithful and the life of faith is possible.
Now, in Hebrews 12, the writer shifts the scene. We’re no longer in a museum admiring portraits of faith, we’re on the track ourselves, baton in hand. The Christian life is not about how fast you start, but how faithfully you finish. It is a race that requires endurance, focus, and above all, fixing our eyes on Jesus — the author and finisher of our faith. Join us this Sunday as Pastor Josh opens Hebrews 12:1–3.
Together, we’ll consider the witnesses who inspire us, the weights that hinder us, and the Savior who leads us. And we’ll be reminded that, weary or limping though we may feel, we can keep going — because Christ has already secured the victory. Whether you’ve been walking with Jesus for years, or you’re just beginning to explore faith, this is a great Sunday to come, hear good news, and be encouraged to keep running your race.
