Luke 10:25-37
How do I know if I am am saved?

In the parable of the Good Samaritan, Jesus teaches us a profound lesson about salvation and what it means to be a neighbour. It begins by addressing the question posed to Jesus, “How do I know if I am saved?” In typical Jesus fashion, He answers this difficult question with another question: Are you moved to help those in need, even when it’s inconvenient or uncomfortable? Do you have compassion for those who need physical and spiritual help?

Jesus then offers us the story of the good samaritan as a revolutionary way of expanding our definition of the word “neighbour”. Our neighbour is not just the person who lives next door but anyone in need, regardless of their background or beliefs. Jesus is showing us that we can’t save ourselves but the best part of being saved is loving and serving our neighbours! Please pray for Pastor Steve and the team as they prepare the service. We are looking forward to what God is going to do this Sunday!
