The Book of Acts“Where are you pretending?” In Acts 4:32-5:11, we see the early church breaking out in worship and working together to meet the community’s needs as they encounter God. What does this mean for us? Can we experience God in this way? In our community of believers? If so, what would it look like? In the early church, we see authentic gathering and scattering practices by the early believers after experiencing God’s power and presence. However, our attention is also drawn to the deceptive actions of Ananias and Sapphira, who held back and lied about their contribution, resulting in dire consequences. In other words, we also need to examine our own authenticity in worship and service, pondering where we might be pretending or holding back. Ultimately, it’s a call to embrace transparency, integrity, and wholehearted devotion in worship and work, as we see in the early church. For more infomation visit:

Membership ClassSunday May 26th We are so glad you are walking with us. Have you considered church membership as a "next step" you could take in partnering with our church? Church membership is not about adding some requirement to the call of Jesus. It’s about a local church taking specific responsibility for a Christian, and a Christian taking responsibility for a local church. It’s about “embodying,” and “living out,” our membership in Christ’s universal body. Please reach out to the office to register! |

Celebrating!
This past Sunday we had 22 newcomers attend our free lunch! We continue to praise God for all that is happening inside and outside of these walls, as we see the church gather and find strength, and as we see the church scatter into our community and share the hope that we have in Jesus. There is a contagious excitement and joy in the stories of those who are new to our church, so please continue to say hello to faces you don't recognize and welcome them into the group. |
