Jesus is inviting us to set our hearts and hopes on him—Jesus, who calls himself the Bread of Life, born in Bethlehem, the house of bread. Jesus, who came down from heaven and gives life to the world, because those who come to him will never hunger and never perish. This is good news and great joy! We are looking forward to our special Christmas services this year, but we will need your help to ensure they are a success. Our 4 pm Christmas Eve service is specifically being planned in a way that makes it easy for visitors to come and experience our church and the love of Jesus. Please note: As Christmas Eve falls on a Sunday, we will have two different services. The 10 am gathering will be a very simple regular service without Rooted Kids, and the 4 pm gathering will be the one that we are encouraging you to invite your family and friends to.

Below are some more details and ways that you can participate in our Christmas services:

The Caroling Service on Dec 17th will include:

1. Christmas Carols

2. A special performance from the children

The Christmas Eve Service at 4pm will include:

1. Some upbeat and traditional Christmas carols

2. A short drama and life-giving message about the birth of Jesus

3. You won’t want to rush out the door as will have hot apple cider, hot chocolate, and Christmas goodies.

The following is a few ways you can participate:

1. Invite people to the Christmas Eve Service through one of the following means:

-Tell your neighbour or coworker. Use a printed invitation or forward the “Christmas Eve Invite" email or share the Christmas Eve Reel on Social Media

2. Sign up for greeting or serving apple cider or hot chocolate. Email josh@crbaptist.bc.ca

3. Please pray that God will use our Christmas Eve service for His glory! 

We are mourning the death of Elijah Woudenberg, and continue to support and pray for his family.

The funeral will be held on Sat, Dec 9th at 1pm.

Are you still wondering what you will do for Christmas Dinner this year? Don't think about it any longer. We have a family that has offered to open up their home for those who would like to attend. Please email the office for more details if you would like to enjoy a homecooked dinner this Christmas. 

The in-person deadline for taxable donations in 2023 is 12:00pm (noon), on December 31st, 2023

The online deadline is anytime before midnight on December 31st, 2023

We are celebrating your response to our challenge for Christmas Hampers! All but a few of our shopping lists from last week were taken, and we have already had several hampers turned in. We are looking to have all our hampers turned in by December 17th at the very latest, so we can make sure our families get them prior to Christmas.

Christmas is a busy season for all of us, and we want to be preparing our hearts through the Advent Season. Because of this, our ministries take a break in December so we can accomplish the inner work, and the outer work that Christmas requires, so we can celebrate well. This break begins on Dec 3rd and continues through the first week of January. We look forward to seeing you at our Christmas Events!
