Can you lead a more satisfying life? Why do we find ourselves satisfied in one moment and dissatisfied in the next? Can we even be content in this life?

As we dive into Psalm 63:1-8, King David’s earnest words illustrate the pursuit of genuine satisfaction. David’s soulful longing for God goes beyond material desires, stressing our inherent yearning for a deeper connection. By seeking God’s presence in personal and communal settings, we encounter His power and glory, fostering a foundation of contentment.

This coming week we have two scheduled Youth Events!

Jr. Youth Movie Night: On Tuesday, August 22nd, Jr. High (Gr.6 - 9) will be having a movie night from 6:30 to 9pm at CRBC. We are going to be watching the new Spiderman - Across the Spiderverse!

Sr. Youth Softball: On Wednesday, August 23rd our Sr. High students (Gr. 10-12) are invited to meet up in the CRBC Gym at 6:30 pm! Depending on the weather, we will either play softball in the field, or games in the gym!

Summer fun days are fun for the entire family!  Join us this coming Wednesday for a day of boating. We will be making boats to float and boats to eat!

We are excited to announce Josh Kazakoff has been selected for the role of Associate Pastor. He and his wife and family will be moving to Campbell River this Summer. We hope he'll be able to start early September, and are praying for a smooth transition. Josh will be in charge of Discipleship, Connection, Small Groups. We are so excited to expand our team. We believe this next step will be instrumental in implementing our vision, transforming our church, and this community.

Kick-Off Sunday is when we begin to roll out our Fall Groups and Ministries, and we celebrate by eating great food and playing games in the field. Last year we witnessed some epic tug of war, and this year who knows what'll happen. Kick-Off is a great service for those who are curious about church. Pray about who you should invite—friends, family, and neighbours—as a community picnic and games will follow the service.

We look forward to celebrating with you on September 10th.
