Parables - Jesus the Storyteller

Parables - Jesus the Storyteller

What is your flavour of Christianity?

In Matthew 5:13, Jesus compares His followers to salt, emphasizing the distinct and transformative nature of their Christian walk. He challenges us to consider the flavor our Christianity imparts to the world. Do our lives reveal the presence of God’s Kingdom, making a tangible difference in our daily interactions? Jesus asserts that just as salt enhances and preserves, our faith should have a noticeable impact on the world around us. Are we living in a way that reflects the transformative power of Christ? He encourages us to evaluate whether our Christian walk carries an invitational and influential aroma, drawing others closer to the love of God. Ultimately, Jesus invites us to examine the distinct flavor of our Christianity, ensuring that it aligns with the transformative and inviting nature of following Him. Please pray for Pastor Steve and the team as they prepare the service. We are looking forward to what God is going to do this Sunday!

Family Advent Event

Family Advent Event

Saturday December 2nd

You and your family are invited to join us at Campbell River Baptist, Sat Dec. 2, 3:00- 4:30 for our Family Advent Event.

For many, Advent conjures up visions of chocolate calendars counting down the 4 weeks till Christmas.  As fun and as tasty as these can be,  Advent can be so much more. The word Advent means coming. Let's use this time of Advent waiting to remember Jesus' coming into this world and reflect on how this was part of God’s great big plan. This year as your family travels towards the manger on Christmas morning let us help you to create space in your home to journey through this season with expectancy, with eyes wide open to the wonder of what God has done and is doing. On Dec 2 your family will create an Advent wreath with candles to light daily, be given family devotional material to use during this season, and have an opportunity to visit with other families, play a few games and enjoy some Christmas goodies. Hope to see you there.

To help us in our preparations we are asking that your family would register by November 27th

Christmas Hampers

Christmas Hampers

Let's fill 30 Christmas Hampers!

Christmas Hampers have been one way that we have been able to bless a few families in our community during a season where many feel the squeeze of the all extra's.  Last year we were able to gift 23 families with a Christmas Hamper.

On Sunday, November 26th we will have all the information and tools you need to get involved in this wonderful way to bless our community.

Let's start by praying about two things:

1) Pray for the people who will be receiving a Christmas Hamper

2) Ask:  How is God asking you to be generous in this season?

Christmas Eve Cookies

Christmas Eve Cookies

Do you love making those crumbly bits of mouth watering goodness we all know we should stop eating? Have we got a job for you! We are planning to make hundreds of cookies for our Christmas Eve service this year. If you would like to contribute with two or three (or four) dozen cookies, then please let us know and we'll sign you up. Any flavour will do!
