Resolving Everyday Conflict

Resolving Everyday Conflict

When do you say hard things?

When do you tell others the truth even when it hurts? When do you overlook an offence and just move on? What do you do when things can’t get resolved?

This week Pastor Steve will tackle these questions as we look at the book of Galatians. Paul reminds us that through the means of relationship, we can tell each other hard things so we don’t remain stuck or entangled in broken patterns. There is a cost to saying what needs to be said to bring about correction. There is also a cost to not saying anything at all. Paul reminds us that our reproof should be wrapped in gentleness to help bring about restoration. When Godly correction is given, it provides an opportunity for us to become more like Christ. As we work though everyday conflict we can grow and find victory.

Call to Action: Rooted Kids

Call to Action: Rooted Kids

We need your help!

Every week Rooted kids program ministers to more than 50 of our children. That’s right: 50 kids! Our volunteers help our children encounter the love of Jesus. We are so blessed by this program! We would like to take a moment to celebrate over 50 volunteers who made this program possible this year. These parents and caring adults have given their time and energy through countless weeks because they believe this program is worth the sacrifice. Around this time every year those same volunteers grow tired (for good reason!) and this is why we need your help to keep Rooted Kids open this summer.

This is a call to action.

If you have been blessed by our kids ministry in some way, but have never helped out downstairs, then this call is to you. If you have a child that has been blessed by our ministry, this call is for you. If you have ever been a child and remember your Sunday School Teachers, this call is for you. We want to encourage you, that you don’t need special skills to do this job, all you need is a willingness to bend down and play with a child.Think about it. Pray about it. And then act! Thank you so much for all you are doing to share the good news of Jesus in our city!
