Encounter - Are You Still in the Dark?
This Sunday in our Encounter series, Pastor Joshua points us to the transformative power of meeting Jesus, just as the man in John 9 experienced. Born blind, the man’s first encounter with Jesus opened his eyes—literally and spiritually—moving him from darkness to light, from confusion to clarity, from fear to worship. His story reminds us that our trials are never wasted, our obedience matters even before we see the outcome, and our personal testimonies shine God’s light into the world. As we approach the Lord’s Table, let’s remember the One who brings sight to the blind, faith to the weary, and light to every shadow: Jesus, the Light of the World. “Once I was blind, but now I see.” Please pray for Pastor Josh and the team as they prepare for our service. Men's RetreatCamp Homewood | Quadra Island Camp Homewood has a wonderful men's retreat scheduled for this year. Dayle Medgett will be speaking! Gather with other men from all over Vancouver Island and the Lower Mainland to enjoy a weekend full of of activities and sessions with a guest speaker. Savour meals prepared in our newly renovated kitchen, and enjoy the 200+ acres of the great outdoors we get to call home at Camp Homewood. The waterfront setting at Homewood is perfect for both quiet reflection and active adventure. Come on your own and meet some new friends, or bring a group for a fun weekend away together. Activities will include ax throwing, archery, canoeing, horseback riding, pontoon boat harbour tours, and more! New for 2025! Men's Retreat is now a two-night weekend retreat, starting Friday evening and ending Sunday afternoon. If you would like to attend church on Sunday morning, there is an option to stay Friday night and depart Saturday evening (at a reduced rate of $113.50).
