Kick-Off Sunday! Pray for Sunshine!

Kick-Off Sunday!

Kick-Off Sunday!

Encounter Part 2 - Does encountering Jesus change anything for me?

Does encountering Jesus make a difference in my life? In your life? If so, what does that look like? Just look around. In our city, we see people battling addiction, struggling with homelessness, or searching for meaning in all the wrong places. Yet, Jesus could bring light into those very streets, restoring lives, healing hearts, and giving hope where it feels lost. As we will see, one encounter with Him can bring healing, purpose, and a brand-new start.

Darkness doesn’t get the last word; Jesus does.

Please pray for Pastor Steve and the team as they prepare for our service.

Scripture: Matthew 4:12-17

Kick-Off Sunday

Kick-Off Sunday

September 14th

The time has come to celebrate! Following our regular Sunday Service, there will be free lunch, games, a bouncy castle, prizes, and much more.

For the picnic:

1) Bring a lawn chair, or a fuzzy blanket.

2) Ask Al Ruff or Lyann if you would like to help out on Sunday

3) Invite your friends and neighbours! One of our church values is being "Invitational." Loneliness is one of the great epidemics of our time. Would you be willing to pray about who you should invite? Once someone comes to mind, step out boldly in faith and go for it.

Apologetics Class

Apologetics Class

Starting September 15th

Why Apologetics?

Now this may come as a shock to you, but not everyone is a fan of apologetics. In fact, some in the church are outright hostile to apologetics. So, before we can make a case for Christianity, we have to make a case for making a case for Christianity. In this course, Tim Barnett walks through four reasons why we must engage in apologetics. Simply put, the Bible commands it, the culture demands it, the Church needs it, and the results confirm it. Taken individually, each reason should motivate us to do apologetics. However, taken altogether, these provide a powerful apologetic for apologetics.

Yes, we need an Anvil

Yes, we need an Anvil

Brian Miller and the Sr. High Leadership Team are, as usual, in search of an anvil they could borrow for two months. Yes, an anvil, like for forging metallurgy in smoke and steam under the blow of a hammer stroke.

Typical youth pastors, eh?

Please email brian@crbaptist.bc.ca if you have any leads.
